Day One: Journey to Mudgee

It’s a pretty and scenic drive to Mudgee today. Enjoy first class comfort & safety with us as you embark on your holiday. Morning tea in the Blue Mountains along with time to enjoy the stunning views before lunch provided in Lithgow. After lunch continue on the very scenic Castlereagh Highway to Mudgee. On arrival, visit the Pieter van Gent winery where you can sample the famous Mudgee White Port before being welcomed to The Winning Post Motor Inn. Tonight, you will enjoy a Christmas themed dinner! Day Two: Explore Mudgee

This morning enjoy a coach tour of Mudgee. The township of Mudgee was first reached in 1821 by William Lawson & first settled in 1822 by George and Henry Cox & is the second oldest settlement west of the Great Dividing Range. Mudgee has many fine old stately buildings from last century which have been classified by the National Trust. With a population of around 12,000 it is a thriving rural centre serving a regional population of about 22,000. After some free time in town for shopping and morning tea, depart for Goree Park. Gooree Park Wines & Horse Stud is situated on one of Central Western NSW’s most beautiful properties just out of Mudgee, encompassing over 500 hectares of state-of-the-art vineyards, a Wagyu beef enterprise & the home of champion racehorses. Gooree Park is famous for its champion horses and thoroughbred racing. The home of notable stakes winners – Northern Meteor, Don Eduardo, Dreamscape, Snow land, Moti, Desert War and others. After a wagyu beef lunch from the property, enjoy a special tour of the Horse Stud this afternoon with one of the key property managers on board the coach. After the tour, enjoy a visit to the Honey Haven where a sip of the delicious honey mead can be savoured. Day Three: Portland & Journey Home

Begin your journey from Mudgee and head towards the charming town of Portland, known for its striking street art and historical significance as the “Town of Silos.” Arrive in Portland mid-morning and enjoy free time for a delightful morning tea at a local café. Take some time to stroll through the streets, admiring the colourful murals that celebrate the town’s industrial heritage and creative spirit. Continue your journey to Lithgow, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, take a brief moment to appreciate Lithgow’s unique blend of history and natural beauty before embarking on the final leg of your journey. Travel back to Sydney, enjoying the scenic drive through the Blue Mountains and reflecting on a day filled with art, culture, and relaxation.
