Day 1 -North to The Sunshine Coast

Upon arrival at Brisbane Airport, you’ll be greeted by your coach captain for the week. Today, as you head north, your first stop is Caboolture. After a leisurely lunch there, you will join a cruise aboard a classic, double-decked 1930s-style boat that departs from the jetty at the Pelican Waters Tavern. Enjoy spectacular views of the Glasshouse Mountains as you sail along the coast, taking in superb vistas of Bribie Island National Park, pristine waters, and the abundant birdlife of Pumicestone Passage Marine Park. The cruise will take you past the luxury canal homes of Pelican Waters before entering the Marine Park, where our experienced skipper will share fascinating anecdotes and provide engaging commentary throughout the journey.

For tomorrow’s activities, please be sure to wear comfortable, closed-in shoes as you will be taking a short walk through Mary Cairncross Rainforest. Your accommodation is at the luxurious Mercure Kawana Waters, and for any queries during your stay, you can reach them at 07 53349500. Enjoy your adventure!

Day 2 – Montville, the Blackall Ranges hinterland & Maleny

This morning, begin your adventure with a visit to the Glasshouse Mountains Lookout, where breathtaking panoramic views of these iconic peaks set the stage for the day. Next, head to Woodford for a delightful morning tea, enjoying local treats in a charming, relaxed setting. Your journey then continues into the surrounding hinterland with a visit to Maleny and Mary Cairncross Park—a remarkable 52-hectare sanctuary of original subtropical rainforest. As one of the few remnants of subtropical rainforest thriving on deep basalt soils in a high-rainfall area, the park offers a serene escape and spectacular vistas of the Glasshouse Mountains before lunch. After lunch, travel the short but scenic distance to Montville where you’ll have time to explore a wonderful range of local stores or simply relax with a coffee while admiring the unbelievable views over the Sunshine Coast to the east before dropping off the mountain and returning to your hotel.

Day 3 -Yandina Ginger factory, Eumundi Markets, Noosa Heads & the Sunshine Coast.

This morning, your adventure begins in Yandina, where you’ll visit the world’s largest Ginger Factory. Explore the fascinating displays and enjoy a ride on either the train or the boat while savouring a delicious morning tea, complete with those famous ginger scones. After this delightful start, your journey continues to the renowned Eumundi Markets—an ideal spot to pick up a bargain or two. Next, travel to Tewantin at the headwaters of the Noosa River, where you will board a beautifully restored ferry for a scenic and informative cruise down to Noosa Heads. This relaxing journey along Stillwater takes you past Noosaville, with its charming hire boats, old jetties, and trendy new restaurants, and skirts the magnificent homes of Noosa Sound. As you approach Noosa Heads, admire the vibrant beach, lively shops, and inviting eateries that define this popular seaside destination. During the cruise, your coach driver will provide a packed lunch for you to enjoy on board. Upon reaching Noosa Heads, your driver will meet you at the wharf and direct you to the coach after you’ve had some time to explore. Take a stroll along the famous Hastings Street and wander along the beachfront, soaking up the holiday atmosphere in this idyllic coastal paradise. When you’re ready to return, board the coach for your journey back to Mercure Kawana Waters, filled with memories of a day well spent exploring some of the best attractions the Noosa region has to offer.

Day 4 – Australia Zoo

It’s only a short drive to one of Australia’s premier attractions—Australia Zoo. This world-renowned facility stands as a living legacy to the late Steve Irwin, the “Crocodile Hunter,” and his unwavering commitment to conservation through the Wildlife Warriors Foundation. Today, you’ll experience wildlife action and adventure like nowhere else in the country. Encounter a stunning variety of animals—from vibrant birds and fascinating snakes to majestic tigers, ancient tortoises, speedy cheetahs, gentle elephants, and, of course, the thrilling crocodile show. Every moment at Australia Zoo is designed to captivate and inspire, making for a truly exciting and memorable day. To enhance your visit, lunch vouchers will be provided at the Zoo. Enjoy your adventure and immerse yourself in the legacy of conservation that continues to inspire visitors from around the world.

Day 5- Sunshine Coast to Home

Departing the Sunshine Coast this morning, we head towards the vibrant city of Brisbane. Along the way, you’ll stop at Mount Coot-Tha Lookout, where breathtaking views of the city and its surrounds await. Take a moment to enjoy a cuppa while soaking in the scenery before continuing on to Brisbane. Once in the city, you’ll have some free time to explore and enjoy lunch at your own expense. Finally, you’ll be transferred to Brisbane Airport for your flight home, marking the end of your memorable journey.
